    • The Giraffes
    • There is no such thing as too much giraffes. At least. That's what D A I S Y  J A M E S must have thought while designing this wallcover. A whole forest of giraffes! In a real forrest mind you. A forest of palm trees. They won't eat the palm trees (they think it's garbage) but you don't have to feed them either. So there's a win.

    • And now for something totally different. D A I S Y  J A M E S deemed it time for a change of pace and goes on to amaze with this psychedelic design. What at first sight appears a simple pattern, quickly has to admit to being more than it seems, and it is remarkable how easy it is to see different things in its rainbow-colored shapes. It can resemble a tall building with windows galore, a piece of film with characteristic squares on either side, or even a road network for a futuristic mega city!  Whoever lays their eyes on it is sure to surprise you with an interpretation of their own, which is what pretty things are all about.

    • Our brain is conditioned to notice patterns, because they provide a bit of order in an otherwise chaotic world. In the real world however, patterns are almost never perfect, we have to look past the small differences in repetitions to be able to see the big picture. D A I S Y J A M E S tries to catch that feeling in our new walllcover: The Geisha. An intriguing design that on first glance looks like a perfectly repeating pattern, but the longer you look the more the differences get noticeable. In two different colors this wallcover is very versatile. Is it your perfect fit?

    • The Drapes
    • Drapery has always been exclusive. Heavy cloth to decorate the most exquisite rooms. Traditionally drapes are found mostly around windows, but they are worn as well. Especially in paintings and scultures they are popular, because the folds make the depicted seem that more lifelike. According to the ancient Greeks floating drapery makes visible the line of movement through which it has just passed.Drapery, by suggesting lines of force, indicates for each action a past and a possible future. D A I S Y  J A M E S uses them to decorate your walls. This wallcover is perfect for large rooms and very versatile.

  • The Jumbo Quick View
    • The Jumbo Quick View
    • The Jumbo
    • In Hindu, Jain, and Buddhist cosmology there exists a sacred five-peaked mountain, that is considered to be the center of all the physical and spiritual universes. It is called Mount Meru, and on it grow trees known as ‘Jambu’ (Jumboo) that are said to bear trees as big as elephants. It was this tree a London zookeeper thought of when he gave an African bush elephant his name. This elephant would become famous for giving rides to visitors, and when the zoo wanted to sell it, 100.000 schoolchildren wrote to queen Victoria beging her to put a stop to it. Elephants have always fascinated us. They are big, mostly gentle, and come from far away (the hearts of india or the bushes of sub sahara africa). They seem almost mythical and magical, and seemed the perfect fit for this mystical D A I S Y J A M E S wallcover.

The combination looked as well in ancient rome and it will look well in the year 4000, wherever the center of the world might be then. Both colors work together to make this wallpaper something special. Together with  a pretty honeycomb motive we have created something truely D A I S Y  J A M E S.
  • The Wajang Quick View
    • The Wajang Quick View
    • The Wajang
    • Wajang is a form of puppet theatre art found in Indonesia and other parts of Southeast Asia, wherein a dramatic story is told through shadows thrown by puppets and sometimes combined with human characters. It is really an amazing form of artistic expression. The term derives from the word bayang, which means ‘shadow’ and also ‘imagination’. Traditionally a show lasted from midnight until dawn. D A I S Y  J A M E S managed to capture the mysterious feeling of this game of shadows. You can see the tropics, you can almost feel them, maybe you even hear the birds, but it’s clear not all of them is there. Shadows let you use your imagination in new and exciting ways, and be honest; It looks so tight!

Lots of geometrical shapes all actors in huge play, situated in a labyrinth without borders. A marvel of D A I S Y  J A M E S quality.
  • The Aviary Quick View
    • The Aviary Quick View
    • The Aviary
    • Birds have fascinated us since time immemorial. The fact that they can fly, a feat that we have only managed to achieve a short century ago (and even then just with the help of machine), has always be the source of great envy. Birds are very symbolic too. The romans could foretell the future just by looking at the kinds of birds that flew above them. The owl stands for wisdom, the dove for peace, while the peacock is a universal symbol for fertility. People have come to keep birds as well, and while some birds can be trained not to fly away, like falcons, most must have their wings cut like poultry, or be locked up in a cage. As many people can see the irony in admiring these birds for their sense of freedom, and then locking them away, D A I S Y  J A M E S now offers the best of two worlds. With ‘Wallcover: The Aviary’ you can enjoy these marvelous creatures, without harming any of them.

    • The Timeless Women
    • Looking through the curtains are some faces that might look familiar. D A I S Y  J A M E S went out of her way with this spectacular design. One instantly recognizes the famous Lisa Gherardini, her crooked smile known far and wide, or the mysterious ‘Girl with a Pearl Earring’, whose worldly counterpart will probably remain unknown forever. The Florentine Leonardo da Vinci, and the Dutch Johannes Vermeer, acquired a lot of fame over them. Maybe you can also spot Cecilia Gallerani, or Artemisia Gentileschi the first female painting artist. All women from ages ago, a time before photographs, but on canvas, and in some cases wood, their beauty and character have been preserved to the point they peek right trough your wall in the 21st century. An impressive masterpiece.

    • The Aztec
    • The Aztec didn't care much for gold, nor for silver. Until the Spanish came. When they did, the native Americans found that Europeans would go through great lenghts to get their hands on the precious metals. A blessing at first, as they could sell the apparently worthless stuff for products they could actually use, which would soon turn into a curse as history has proven. The abundance of gold in their lands, however, stirred the imagination of many Europeans, conquestadors and artists alike. We at D A I S Y  J A M E S are happy to bring a part of legendary El Dorado onto your wall.
